DENVER - Denver Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Denver Detention Center on Thursday morning.
Deputies said they found a man unresponsive during routine rounds in the housing unit.
Medical personnel were called in, but they were not able to resuscitate the inmate, officials said.
The Van Cise-Simonet Detention Center contains the prisoner intake center, some prisoner housing, court services, and the correctional care medical facility.
Denver Police tweeted that no foul play is suspected. The Sheriff's Office said there was no use of force involved in the incident.
