Denver police investigate deadly shooting in Denny's parking lot on Federal Sunday morning

DENVER - Denver Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Denny's parking lot at 1605 Federal Boulevard Sunday morning, near the northwest corner of West Colfax Avenue and Interstate 25.

Police tell 7NEWS that employees of the restaurant called Denver Fire shortly after 6:30 a.m. Sunday after seeing a bullet hole in the vehicles driver's side window.

Detectives says video surveillance cameras caught the white SUV pulling into the parking spot around 9 p.m. Saturday night.

Police aren't releasing more information into the shooting or why the man was shot.

The Denny's parking lot remained closed most of the morning as detectives searching the parking lot for evidence.

A person who answered the phone at the Denny's wouldn't comment about the shooting.

The restaurant will re-open Monday at 7 a.m..
