Denver police investigate early morning shooting Sunday

Police: Victim is expected to survive

DENVER - Police are investigating after one person was shot early Sunday morning in Denver.

The person was shot at about 1 a.m., near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Olive Street, Denver police confirmed.

The victim was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, police said. The victim went through surgery and was expected to survive.

Investigators don't know whether the victim and the shooter know each other.

There is no suspect in the case, police said.
