DENVER - Denver Police have released the mug shot for a woman arrested in a deadly hit-and-run crash.
The victim was hit on West Colfax Avenue near Fox Street, the Denver Police Department tweeted at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
The driver took off in a black Dodge Journey with damage to the front end, police said.
About six hours later, police tweeted that the vehicle had been recovered and the driver was in custody.
Police identified the driver as 30-year-old Brenda Rosales-Montoya. She was arrested on investigation of vehicular homicide involving reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident involving death, according to the Denver Jail website.
Montoya appeared Monday morning in court, and a judge set her bond at $50,000.
Montoya has a prior arrest for assault in Lakewood in 2007, according to court records.
