DENVER - An RTD station and several streets between Interstate 25 and Evans Avenue were shut down Monday night as the Denver Police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package that was found on an RTD bus.
At a news briefing, police said the bus had been evacuated and that a man was in custody.
At 9 p.m., the Denver Police Department tweeted that the bomb squad was responding to S. Colorado and Buchtel boulevards to investigate the package at the RTD station.
Just after 10 p.m., police tweeted that the suspicious package was "cleared" by the bomb squad -- meaning it was not a threat. Police also said that the RTD station would remain closed for a short time by RTD security.
