Denver Police Bomb Squad removes device found near South Platte River

DENVER - The Denver Police Bomb Squad has removed a device found near the South Platte River on Tuesday afternoon.

Denver Police said via Twitter at 3:35 p.m. that the device had been found in the 900 block of West Iliff Avenue.

AIRTRACKER7's camera showed a bomb squad technician, who was not wearing protective gear, lift an object off the ground on the side of the river and place it in a container.

Denver police did not immediately say what the object was.
