DENVER - A 47-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning in connection to a homicide on Monday.

Denver police say Martin Trusty is being held for investigation of first-degree murder.

Trusty is accused of assaulting and killing 44-year-old Darwin Brown, said Denver police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez.

Officers responded to the assault in progress at 10th and Santa Fe Drive around 5:49 p.m. on Monday.

Brown was transported to Denver Heath Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
