DENVER – If you’re single and looking to mingle, Denver’s a great place to be.
That’s according to WalletHub, which just ranked the Mile High City as the fourth best city in the country for singles.
What makes a city a great place for singles? It comes down to more than just the number of unmarried people. WalletHub’s analysis looked at things like nightlife and recreation opportunities, the cost of housing, movies and meals and even the number of active users on the dating app Tinder, among others.
Based on all those factors, San Francisco earns the title of best city for single people, followed by Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Overall the West seems to be where it’s at – four of the top five cities on WalletHub’s list are in Western states:
1. San Francisco, CA
2. Atlanta, GA
3. Los Angeles, CA
4. Denver, CO
5. San Diego, CA
6. Seattle, WA
7. Chicago, IL
8. Portland, OR
9. Minneapolis, MN
10. Portland, ME
Colorado Springs and Aurora also made the list, coming in at numbers 39 and 111, respectively.
