Denver murder suspect arrested 1,800 miles away in Orlando, Florida

DENVER - A man wanted in connection with a murder in Denver last week has been arrested 1,800 miles away, in Florida.

Denver Police were called to the 2600 block of Java Court last Wednesday to check on a person who lived there. When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside.

While police have not released any information about the victim, including when the man died, officers did say they were investigating the death as a homicide.

On Monday, Denver Police announced that a suspect, 31-year-old Daniel J. Gonzales, was arrested last Thursday in Orlando, Florida. Gonzales is being held for investigation of first-degree murder, Denver Police said.

Officials have not released any information about the connection between Gonzales and the murder victim.
