Denver man dies after being swept away in Wyoming River

RAWLINS, Wyo. - Authorities say a 32-year-old Denver man died after he was swept away by the North Platte River in southern Wyoming's Carbon County.
The sheriff's office said Derick Jeffrey Scovill was camping with his parents and other family members in the Miracle Mile area when he fell into the river Monday. His body washed ashore 2 miles downstream about an hour and a half after he fell in.
The Rawlins Times reports (http://bit.ly/17wl4oj ) a camper found the body and called authorities.
Scoville was buried Saturday at the Golden Cemetery.
