DENVER - If you're planning to fly out of Denver International Airport, expect some delays.
At 8:45 a.m., airport officials tweeted that delays at the airport are averaging one hour. At noon, several delays were still being reported for arrivals and departures, but many were less than an hour.
The Delays are due to snow and wind, officials said.
The airlines are also in full deicing mode, so expect more time on the tarmac before takeoff.
Deicing is when various chemicals are sprayed on an airplane to keep the wings from icing.
Deicing is done with the passengers on board, minutes before takeoff.
