DENVER -- Immigrant students in Denver reached out to the president in a medium he himself uses to push his message: Twitter.
English development students at Bruce Randolph school in Denver spent the week tweeting to President Donald Trump about the important role their families play in American culture, the education blog Chalkbeat reported.
Many in the immigration community are on edge since President Trump took office. Several immigration arrests and raids have occurred in the past month.
The sixth and seventh grade students were asked to keep the messages positive. The students’ tweets will be collected and shared in Washington.
