Denver house fire displaces 3 adults, 4 kids

DENVER - Fire has displaced three adults and four children because of significant damage to their modular home in Denver.

The fire at 2531 W. Wesley began at around 12:49 p.m.

An adult tenant of the modular home told 7NEWS that one of the children was playing in a back bedroom near where the fire started. The other three children and one of the adults were not home at the time.

Suddenly, the man said, smoke alarms were going off and he had to get everyone out. No one was hurt.

Firefighters say the home is likely to be a total loss, with holes burned through the floors and walls.

The cause remains under investigation at this time.
