Denver fire fighters tackle fire reported in high-rise near Sloan Lake

DENVER - A kitchen fire forced the evacuation of a three floors of a high-rise building near Sloan Lake Monday morning.
The fire started in a unit on the 11th floor of a building on Yates Street.
Fire officials called a second alarm to get extra personnel to help with the evacuation of the floors directly above and below the fire.
Denver Fire said firefighters managed to contain the fire to the kitchen where it started, but there is smoke on the 10th, 11th and 12th floors.
There is no word yet on how the fire started.
