As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, Denver businesses are savoring the moment.

Inside the kitchen at D-Bar in Denver, an intense effort is underway to fill dessert orders.

"It's blowing up.  We should have thought of this earlier," said Chef Keegan Gerhard.

The team here is trying to make as many Broncos treats as possible.  Cupcakes, macaroons, cookies, cakes and donuts are being prepared - all with an Orange twist.

"You just get to play with sugar and have fun and appeal to what's fun to people," said Gerhard. "We call it sugar shenanigans, we get to do it every day," he said.

Downtown Denver will be busy on Sunday.

"We're expecting a pretty large crowd of people throughout the day on Sunday and throughout the entire weekend,” said Brea Olson of the Downtown Denver Partnership.

At Society Sports and Spirits on Blake Street, supersized orders are on tap for game day.

"We have 50 kegs of beer,” said owner Wil Evans.  “We've ordered 550 pounds of chicken wings,” he said.

“I just can't think of anything more important at the moment, than the Broncos being in Super Bowl 50,” said Gerhard.
