DENVER - The owner of a Denver optical company, run over in her own business by a careening car, has died.
Denver Police tweeted Saturday that the woman died overnight. Her identity has not been formally released. The 60-year-old business owner was reported to be in critical condition immediately after the crash.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m., on July 12, at Accent Optics, located at 2795 S. Colorado Blvd. The driver, later identified as 24-year-old Ryan Nuanez, and four others were taken to the hospital after the crash.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged Nuanez with vehicular assault, three counts of third-degree assault, driving under the influence of drugs and driving under revocation.
Nuanez remains in custody on $50,000 bond.
