DENVER – Thursday was the last full day of summer for 2017, but it brought record-breaking heat to Denver.

The temperature at Denver International Airport, where the official temperature is measured, reached 92 degrees at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, breaking the 2015 record high of 89 degrees.

And while things were toasty today, fall will move in quickly this weekend, as temperatures in the Denver metro area are expected to only reach highs in the 60s and 50s starting Saturday for another week.
