Denver and Aurora are two of the best places to be a real estate agent right now

DENVER – It’s no secret that the Denver metro area’s housing market is red hot and that makes it a great place to be working in real estate.

In fact, a new report from WalletHub says Denver is the third best place in the country to be a real estate agent. Honolulu, Hawaii and Seattle, Washington rank first and second, respectively.

The Denver suburb of Aurora also ranked highly on the list, coming in at number five. To the south, Colorado Springs came in at number 11.

WalletHub’s list takes into account a number of statistics, such as sales per agent, median home price, median wage for agents, unemployment rate, building permit activity and home turnover rate, among others.

The annual median wage for real estate agents in Denver is $75,900 and agents average about 32 sales, according to WalletHub.

WalletHub’s map shows a clear trend – the West Coast seems to be where the majority of the real estate action is happening.
