The death of a 2-year-old girl who was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Denver earlier this month has been ruled a homicide.
Tobi J. Doyle was first rushed to Montrose Memorial Hospital on Feb. 12, investigators said. She was resuscitated and transferred by air to Children's, where she died the following day.
An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be "multiple cranial cerebral injuries due to blunt force impacts from non-accidental trauma."
The death is being investigated by the Montrose County Office of Medical Investigation and the Montrose Police Department.
