Day of Giving raises more than 16 million dollars for Superstorm Sandy victims

ABC and 7NewsNow raised more than $16.8 million during the Day of Giving for the American Red Cross to help communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
One million dollars will be donated to the American Red Cross for immediate, critical assistance, and another $1 million will be designated for organizations working on rebuilding efforts.
7NewsNOW viewers called in more than $16,000 in donations to our hotline Monday.
