DENVER - In exchange for pleading guilty, a Denver man who gave two teenagers pot-laced cookies last year will serve three years of probation.
Davirak Ky admitted last week to baking the marijuana cookies and providing them to a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old on Nov. 4. Ky's guilty plea covers the crimes of distributing a controlled substance and child abuse, according to Denver DA spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough.
After the incident was first reported, 7NEWS spoke with the older victim who said he believed the cookies were purposefully made with marijuana. He said that he did not know they were laced with pot.
Ky was sentenced to undergo drug and alcohol treatment and take a class on the effects of drugs on children, in addition to his three years of probation.
