LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – A man accused of trying to hit deputies with his vehicle during a Wednesday pursuit again escaped deputies who were trying to arrest him at his home on Thursday afternoon, and the sheriff’s office is still looking for him.

Cayne Trevin Lucia, 29, is considered dangerous, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

When the Larimer County Regional SWAT team served the search warrant at his home on Canyon Gulch Court in Bellvue Thursday afternoon, Lucia ran out the back door and down a mountain, the sheriff’s office said.

SWAT officers worked for hours to find him in the area, but were unsuccessful due to “rough terrain.” An emergency notification went out to 28 people in the area to warn them of Lucia.

He is wanted on several warrants, which include charges on drug possession, assault on a peace officer and weapons possession.

Lucia is described as a white man who is 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes.

The sheriff’s office said it did not know if he is believed to be armed, but that he is considered dangerous. It asks anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately and not to confront him. The sheriff’s office said deputies are still trying to find him “using other methods.”
