CU football player Jeffrey Hall to go on trial for assault, resisting arrest, underage drinking

Accused of choking a woman, fighting with police

BOULDER, Colo. - A University of Colorado football player accused of choking a woman and fighting with police is scheduled to go to trial Nov. 17.

The Daily Camera reports 20-year-old Jeffrey Hall has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of second-degree assault and obstruction of a peace officer, resisting arrest and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Hall, who has been suspended from the team, was arrested in February after witnesses said he choked a woman at a party and then had to be shocked with a stun gun when he resisted arrest by Boulder officers. One of the officers says he was hit in the head while trying to subdue Hall.

The CU sophomore played in all 12 games for the Buffaloes last season on special teams and as a defensive back.
