FORT COLLINS - Colorado State University says a new business partnership with the Air Force will generate more than $10 million in new business for the school's Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands in fiscal 2013.

The university said Monday that the deal also is expected to add more than 70 employees to the center's workforce of 250 full-time workers and 150 seasonal employees.

Under the agreement, the Air Force can get technical help from the center as needed over the next five years for natural and cultural resource management needs.

CSU says that to date, projects include work at military bases in the U.S., South Korea and Japan and include munitions cleanup, groundwater restoration and conservation, wildlife management, forestry, environmental education, wildland fire management planning and ecological restoration.
