LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – Colorado State Patrol has obtained a photo of the vehicle that may have been a witness when a vehicle hit a cyclist near Carter Lake Tuesday, causing him to fall into traffic and be run over by another vehicle.

The cyclist, 43-year-old Jason Holden of Berthoud, died after being hit by a second vehicle, which stayed at the scene.

CSP had been looking for the other vehicle and its driver. It noted Tuesday the vehicle was a white sedan or SUV.

The possible witness vehicle is a light-colored SUV with a roof rack, though the make, model and license plate of the vehicle are unknown.

CSP says the people in that vehicle are still considered only possible witnesses at the time. It continues to ask anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or crash to call CSP Dispatch at 303-239-4501.
