LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Crews are working to repair a water main break at West 14th Avenue and Zephyr Street in Lakewood.
When 7NewsNOW crews arrived at 4:00 a.m. a backhoe dump truck crew was digging a large hole in the ground.
A supervisor with Consolidated Mutual and Water said they think it is an eight-inch pipe that burst. They still trying to dig down to find out how bad it is.
Crews said it could be as easy as clamping off a small section. But if a big section is broken, repairs could take all day.
The water is turned off, but there is some flooding at a construction site set back from the road on the east side of 14th and Wadsworth.
