Crash involving 2 semi trucks, 1 taxi closes lanes on southbound 225 south of Parker Road

All lanes of I-225 in Aurora reopen after crash

AURORA, Colo. - All lanes of I-225 south are open after a crash involving two semi trucks and a taxi just south of Parker Road  Wednesday morning.

The Colorado State Patrol got the call just after 5 a.m.  Officials said one of the semi drivers thought they saw something in the roadway and swerved to avoid it, sandwiching the taxi between another semi.

At 5:20 a.m., crews extricated the taxi driver from the wreckage.  That driver was sent to Aurora South, but the extent of the injuries is not available.

Initially, there was a report of a fuel spill, which turned out to be false.
