Couple lost $2,500 to alleged tree trimming fraud; Arvada police expect more victims

ARVADA, Colo. - Arvada police are looking for more victims of a tree trimming scam that took one couple for $2,500.
The suspect, 30-year-old Matthew Chisholm, was arrested in Rock Springs, Wyo. on a motor vehicle theft warrant from Arapahoe County. He is suspected of using a stolen U-Haul truck and rented equipment to pose as a handyman and tree trimmer.
Police say he contracted with customers to work on their properties, but disappeared with their cash. The services were never completed.
Additionally, Chisholm is suspected of pawning the tools he had rented.
Chisholm is described as 5-foot-7 with brown hair and green eyes.
