Coroner identifies two shot and killed Saturday in Denver, including 15-year-old boy

DENVER – The Office of the Medical Examiner on Monday identified the two people shot and killed in the 1600 block of S. Tennyson Street on Saturday evening as a 15-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man.

The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of S. Tennyson Street Denver police said over the weekend. Three males were shot, police said, and two of them died.

On Tuesday, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the two who died as 15-year-old Fabian Medina and 36-year-old Jose Contreras. Medina died of multiple gunshot wounds and Contreras died of a single gunshot wound. Both of their deaths are considered homicides, the OME wrote.

A witness told our partners at The Denver Post that he saw a man fire about 10 shots and drove off in a white sedan.

Denver police said Tuesday afternoon that no arrests have been made in the shooting, and no other details have so far been released.
