BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the man found dead in a pond Tuesday afternoon as 31-year-old Jesse Quimby of Boulder.
The coroner said Quimby’s cause and manner of death was still under investigation, however.
A construction worker spotted Quimby’s body floating in a small pond in the 3100 block of Iris Avenue on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Boulder police released a photo of a red baseball hat found with Quimby in hopes of identifying him and finding out more about his death.
Authorities haven’t said if they believe foul play was involved in his death, and ask anyone with information to call Detective Kurt Foster at 303-441-4329.
