Copper Mountain plans new ski lifts

COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. - Copper Mountain Resort will be getting a face-lift for the winter season.

The resort plans to get rid of the Storm King chairlift and replace it with a newer, faster version.

Copper spokeswoman Austyn Williams says the new lift will be located in the same position, but will carry more people.

According to the Summit Daily, Copper Mountain also plans to install a new lift to connect the top of the Sierra lift with the top of Mountain Chief if it gets approval from the U.S. Forest Service.
