DENVER — Hot and dry may not mark the days leading up to the 4th of July, but Independence Day will be the epitome of those words.
Tuesday, July 4 will be the perfect day for those looking to celebrate Independence Day with cookouts, fireworks, parties and more.
The entire day will be sunny, although some haze from fires burning in states surrounding Colorado could be present.
Wind speeds will also be cooperative for fireworks, with speeds of about 5-10 miles per hour.
"It's going to be hot in the afternoon for barbecues, but once the sun sets it turns into perfect weather for fireworks," Denver7 Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo said.
According to the forecast, here are how temperatures will flow throughout the day:
By 12 p.m., temps will already raise to about 88 or 89 degrees.
Between 3 and 5 p.m., temps will hit 95 degrees, which should be the high of the day.
By 9 p.m., temps will dip to 85 degrees.
Grab a coat, because by 10 p.m., temperatures will fall to roughly 80 degrees.
For those who are traveling before and after the holiday, roads are expected to be dry, even if they are crowded.
