A Colorado State Patrol trooper in Alamosa helped save an injured owl.
The CSP tweeted a photo of the owl wrapped in a blanket early Tuesday morning.

The CSP didn't say exactly where the trooper found the owl.
Officials said it was likely hit by a car and couldn't fly.
The owl was turned over to the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife for treatment.
