COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A 15-year-old Colorado Springs teenager is nursing 11 stitches after she was beaten with a gun during a home robbery.
The girl told KKTV-TV that she was in bed when she heard her dog bark. When she went downstairs to see what was going on, she said she came face to face with the robber who beat her with a gun.
KKTV-TV said the robber then tried to make the girl turn off an alarm system, but she didn't know how.
The man escaped with a television and video game.
Police said he is a Hispanic man, 17 or 18 years old with a short, thin build. He was wearing baggy clothes, specifically a gray hooded sweat shirt and an orange ski mask.
The girl was treated at a local hospital.
