COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A fatal hit-and-run in Colorado Springs led police to issue pleas to the public for help.
Officers said Monday they're on the hunt for a gray Ford Escape which may be a 2008 model. The vehicle was last seen in the area of the 1000 block of Alexander Road.
The vehicle, which slammed into a person crossing the street just north of the Citadel mall, would likely have front end damage and a broken windshield.
No photos were immediately available of the vehicle in question, but police are asking citizens and drivers to keep their eyes open.
Anybody who sees a vehicle matching the description is asked to call police at 444-7000.
