Colorado Springs police officer struck during traffic stop

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A Colorado Springs police officer was hit early Saturday morning after a traffic stop.
Police said they stopped a suspicious vehicle with a stolen license plate near Illinois and Fillmore just after 1 a.m.
When the officer attempted to detain the driver, she sped away, striking the officer with her vehicle.
The officer was treated and released at a local hospital.
