Colorado Springs Police officer sees suspect robbing 7-Eleven store

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man who attempted to rob a 7-Eleven on Tuesday night probably didn't notice the police car nearby.

Colorado Springs Police said Officer Christopher Dryman was at the intersection of 8th and Cimarron when a robbery alarm came in from a nearby 7-Eleven.

Dryman said he could see the 7-Eleven from his location and saw a man with a hood pulled over his head at the counter.

Dryman confronted the man as he left the store and said the man ran off.

Police said Dryman got in his car, starting chasing the suspect and called in more officers.

Officers arrested the 21-year-old suspect and detained three people in a nearby vehicle that police called a "suspect vehicle."
