COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Police arrested a Colorado Springs man Tuesday morning who allegedly shot at his neighbor for smoking in the stairway of an apartment building.
Michael Angel Marquez, 38, faces multiple charges, including assault.
Police say the man Marquez is accused of shooting was smoking in the apartment’s stairway when Marquez told him to stop.
Marquez then fired one shot at the man, though it did not hit him.
Officers found Marquez inside his apartment and arrested him after finding a pistol and a shell casing police believe was used in the shooting.
Colorado Springs authorities say he was previously convicted of felony robbery.
