Colorado Rockies host 'Home Run for the Homeless' 5K run through downtown Sunday

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies hosted the 'Home Run for the Homeless' 5K run through downtown Sunday.

The run started just after 8:15 a.m. The course winds through downtown and includes a lap around the warning track of Coors field. 

There is also a 5K walk, a Kids Fun Run, a post-race party for participants.  The post-race party includes free food, beverages, games and entertainment on the Coors Field main concourse. The Rockies said complimentary alcoholic beverages would be served to those that can provide a valid photo ID.

Participants are automatically entered in raffle for Colorado Rockies merchandise, autographed items and tickets that will be given away at the Awards Ceremony following the run.
