DENVER - Colorado Powerball signs weren't prepared for the jackpot to roll over into another week.
Colorado Lottery said their jackpot signs can only fit enough digits for $999 million.
No one won the big prize on Saturday, ballooning the Powerball prize to $1.3 billion. This is the largest lottery jackpot ever available in North America.
Colorado Lottery said they'll "have to get creative," but for now, signs are stuck at 9-9-9.
A lump sum is currently worth $806 million if someone claims it this week.
The next drawing happens Wednesday night. The prize is expected to climb even higher by then.
Well, our jackpot signs only go to 999 million. So with this Wed's $1.3 Billion #Powerball drawing, we're going to have to get creative!— Colorado Lottery (@ColoLottery) January 10, 2016
