DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche Information Center said the danger of avalanches is high in some areas following a big snow storm that moved through the state over the weekend.

Forecasters said Tuesday a large avalanche was reported near the Eisenhower Tunnel that was up to 6 feet deep and 600 feet wide. On the Front Range, an avalanche on Mt. Trelease had debris chunks the size of small cars.

No injuries were reported from either avalanches.

Forecasters say they are continuing to receive reports of large destructive avalanches from around the northern mountains.
