Colorado flood recovery effort continues in Estes Park area and Glen Haven

ESTES PARK, Colo. - The Town of Estes Park Light & Power is working to restore power in Glen Haven, along North Fork and Fox Creek Roads.

Crews are clearing trees and creating 4x4 access in the area so that infrastructure can be stabilized, officials said.

Estes Park officials said they are also working with a contractor to determine how to safely build another 4x4 access road from Glen Haven to The Retreat in order to restore power to The Retreat.

Due to the instability of the canyon down County Road 43, officials said access may need to be through public/private land over the ridge.

Larimer County, the U.S. Forest Service and the City of Fort Collins agreed to assist with equipment and personnel beginning this week, officials said.
