COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado College is defending an answer option on its job applications that is considered by some people to be a slur.
An optional question asks for the applicants gender and lists five choices, including male, female, transgender, no answer and "queer."
The Denver Post reports Colorado College officials believe they have nothing to apologize for.
College officials say using the term on job applications is intended to represent the college's commitment to and acknowledgment of diversity related to gender.
