Colorado Army National Guard recruiter charged with theft

An Army National Guard recruiter from Aurora has been charged with theft.

Christopher Thomas Clark, 26, is accused of fraudulently receiving $28,000 in referral bonuses for recruits, 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young announced Tuesday.

Clark is free on $10,000 bond and is due in court on Feb. 18  for advisement.

"This investigation has the full support of the Colorado National Guard," said Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, the Adjutant General of the Colorado National Guard. "If the allegations are true, this behavior is unacceptable and inconsistent with or stewardship of taxpayer resources and the trust of the citizens we serve."
