Charges investigated after snowboarder, skier collide at Eldora

NEDERLAND, Colo. - The Boulder Sheriff's Office is investigating a skier collision at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort that injured two people.

According to the sheriff's office, a 20-year-old snowboarder from Iowa collided with a 14-year-old skier late Sunday morning.

Witnesses said the snowboard was riding recklessly before the collision.

Eldora ski personnel asked for a medical evaluation via helicopter on the snowboarder and Flight for Life responded.  His injuries were not believed to be life threatening, the sheriff's office said.

The 14-year-old was evaluated by ambulance personnel but was not transported.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is following up on possible charges.
