DENVER - Formal charges face a man accused of crashing his car into a business on South Colorado Boulevard Saturday morning.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. at Accent Optics, located at 2795 S. Colorado Blvd. The driver, later identified as 24-year-old Ryan Nuanez, and four others were taken to the hospital after the crash.
The 60-year-old business owner was reported to be in critical condition Saturday afternoon.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has charged Nuanez with vehicular assault, three counts of third-degree assault, driving under the influence of drugs and driving under revocation.
Nuanez remains in custody on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, to be formally advised of the charges.
