Car windows shot out by BB guns in Northwest Denver

Crimestoppers offers $2,000 reward

DENVER - Denver Police are looking for the people using BB guns to shoot out the windows of parked cars in northwest Denver.

"It's awful," said Ryan Sharp, whose girlfriend's window was recently shot out. "Insurance doesn't cover it.  We're using the trash bag technique to cover it up and make sure nothing can get in. She's just saving up to replace it."

Police say at least 20 cars have been hit in the last two weeks, mostly overnight and in the Sloan's Lake and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.
Police are now offering a $2,000 reward for information. Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers 720 913-7867.
