ARVADA, Colo. - The bear spotted roaming around Arvada this week has been captured.
The two-year-old male bear was tracked down in a back yard near 67th Avenue and Benton Street on Thursday morning and tranquilized.
"Glad we got him found and moved safely," Arvada Police said on Facebook.
The bear was spotted near 66th Lane and Union Street Trail Tuesday. Wednesday the bear was first reported near West 72nd Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, then near the Arvada Center.
Police said the bear is being moved to a "safer location."
