CLOVIS, NM - A dog found in New Mexico with chemical burns has moved to Colorado to get treatment and a new home.
The two-year-old pug was found wandering the streets of Cloves last week, according to Cindy Clayton of Cindy's Hope for Precious Paws Animal Rescue in Clovis.
According to the Clovis News Journal, he had chemical burns on its neck, head, eyes and left ear.
The dog now named Clovis was sent to Colorado Pug Rescue.
Sadly, Clovis had to be rushed to the emergency room Sunday night because he ruptured an ulcer under his eye.
But officials with Colorado Pug Rescue posted Monday that, "The eye surgery looks successful!"
Now, they're working on his skin issues.
