Burglars use sledgehammers to break open jewelry cases and steal high-end watches

Police still looking for three suspects

LONE TREE, Colo. - Lone Tree Police are looking for three suspects who broke into a jewelry store and used sledgehammers to break open cases Friday night.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. Lone Tree Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Ben Bridge Jewelers located in the Park Meadows Mall, according to a press release from the City of Lone Tree.

Police were told that three males had used sledgehammers to break through several display cases and stole multiple Rolex watches, according to the release.

Witnesses did tell police that the suspects left the scene in a silver Jeep Liberty with Colorado license plate 793-OUD. The vehicle was then reported stolen minutes later, Spokesperson Kristen Knoll said in the release.

The three suspects are described as black males in their early to mid-twenties, wearing dark clothing.
